In this passage we see through David's eyes, He recognizes that the righteous are few and are dwindling. He see's that the evil ones speak idly or in falsehood and specialize in flattery, the evil ones can have the appearance of one attitude but secretly have another. So David prays for help since he has no one to turn to. And he remembers that the poor and needy will have a safe place one day. He also see's God's word, the prophesies and how God's sovereignty will never changes.
